TRAFFIC UNIT
The Broken Arrow Traffic Specialist Unit’s mission is to improve the quality of life for our citizens. Our commitment is to reduce the incidents of traffic related losses. This is accomplished through proactive education, aggressive enforcement, and traffic management to preserve the welfare of the motoring public.
The Traffic Specialist Unit consists of 12 officers. Traffic officers enforce traffic laws, investigate collisions, handle traffic impediments, provide public education, escort large loads, and more. Four officers are assigned to the motorcycle unit to provide traffic enforcement. The traffic specialist unit also handles most all the planning for event operations.
